Launched on the Summer Solstice of 2018, ATHR Beauty was originally founded by Tiila Abbitt, a former Product Developer and Head of Sustainability at Sephora. The brand was created to bridge the gap between ethical beauty, sustainability, and high-performing, innovative, and luxurious vegan formulas.
Inspired by the stars and created from Earth’s most precious materials, their formulas are rooted in both science and mythology. They infuse ethically sourced crystals, skin-loving oils, and energizing botanicals—like rose quartz and organic plant extracts—to create products that bring their resilient, restorative magic to your skin. The result is multidimensional pigments, celestial textures, and high-vibrational ingredients that deliver full-spectrum radiance.
Sustainability is at the heart of every decision, from ingredient sourcing to packaging and shipping. In 2018, ATHR Beauty created the beauty industry's first zero-waste eyeshadow palette, and we didn't stop there! All our packaging contains recycled materials and is 100% recyclable through various recycling collectives.
Since relaunching on the Summer Solstice of 2024, ATHR Beauty has continued its vision to do better. We ban over 2,700 ingredients known to harm people, animals, or the planet, and we only partner with factories where we can ensure fair and ethical treatment of the people creating our products, from the growers to the manufacturers.
Its packaging choices are guided by sustainability: FSC®-certified paper, soy-based inks, recycled aluminum, and recyclable or recycled plastic—used only when absolutely necessary.

The brand banned over 2700 ingredients from their formulas. It started with the 1300+ ingredients banned in the EU and every potential carcinogen, endocrine and hormone disruptor, allergen & irritant included in California Prop 65. And they don’t stop there - they ban any other ingredient with negative health concerns, potential environmental effects, and of course all animal-derived ingredients. What about that?
